Tardive Dyskinesia: A Time to Revisit a Forgotten Disorder

Join colleagues and earn 1 hour of FREE CME credit at this symposium at the AACP Annual Meeting, which will explore tardive dyskinesia - a common, yet neglected, side effect of the atypical antipsychotics. This symposium will address the prevalence, diagnosis including AIMS examination, and evidence based treatments for TD.

Please join us onsite.  No advance registration if offered and there is limited seating - arrive early to secure your spot!

Target Audience

This activity is intended for psychiatrists, psychologists, PCP’s, NP’s, PA’s, psychiatric nurses, and other mental health professionals engaged in the care of patients with tardive dyskinesia.

 

 Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • • Discuss the prevalence and diagnosis of TD in psychiatric patients.

  • • Identification of TD using the AIMS examination.

  • • Formulate evidence based treatments for TD, considering both efficacy and safety.
