Session Description: Tardive dyskinesia is a forgotten side effect of the atypical antipsychotics. This symposium will address the prevalence of TD, differential diagnosis, AIMS examination and the recent advances in the treatment of TD.

INTENDED LEARNERS

This activity is designed for psychiatrists, primary care physicians, psychologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychiatric nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in treating patients with tardive dyskensia.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

• Discuss the diagnosis and prevalence of Tardive Dyskinesia (TD).

• Implement evidence based treatments for TD, including innovative treatments.
