JD Schramm, Ed.D., Lecturer in Organizational Behavior, Stanford Graduate School of Business

JD Schramm, Ed.D. blends his personal experience as a suicide attempt survivor with his professional experience teaching popular communication courses at Stanford's Graduate School of business in his keynote entitled The Bridge Back to Life: steps one man took to move from the edge of death to the center of life. JD's 2011 TED talk on his experience has been viewed more than 1.6 million times and has been translated into 41 languages. It's regularly used in high school, college, and grad school classes all over the world. He regularly coaches senior leaders in healthcare, politics, technology, education and financial services on communication. He holds an EdD from the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from NYU. Prior to higher education he worked for several years in organizational development at Mount Sinai and NYU Medical Centers.
