Michael Huss is Professor for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Head of the Department at the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz and Medical Director at Rheinhessen-Fachklinik Alzey, Germany. He also graduated as clinical psychologists working in serval research groups at the University of Illinois at Chicago, at the Charité Berlin, and the GutenbergUniversity in Mainz, Germany. His research interest is in ADHD, substance use disorders and depression. He has been involved in the pivotal Guanfacine retard (GXR) studies and was clinical and scientific advisor during the authorization process at EMA. Recently he was visiting Professor at the Hokkaido University in Sapporo / Japan
