Sudhakar Selvaraj, M.D., Ph.D. is Assistant Professor and the Director of the Depression Research Program at the UTHealth Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He also serves as the Director of the UTHealth Student Counseling Center. He has broad experience in psychiatry with specific interest in treating and managing patients with major depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD and anxiety disorders. He has specific training and expertise in psychopharmacology and brain imaging. He has been a recipient of a number of awards and his research has been published in a number of highly cited journals including American Journal of Psychiatry, Molecular Psychiatry etc. He is a member of Texas Medical Association, Society of Biological Psychiatry (SOBP) and American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology (ASCP).
