The primary purpose of this program is to arm clinicians with tools to address the most important and most current challenges in bipolar depression (BPD) by providing a tightly focused update on recent advances and key clinical issues encountered in patients. The program will consist of 2 virtual live interactive lectures on BPD.
The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of learners to assess diagnostic considerations and new and emerging therapies for the treatment of psychiatric illness.
This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and psychologists engaged in the care of patients with psychiatric illness.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the differential diagnosis of unipolar vs BPD
- Describe the latest treatment advances for BPD
- Recognize the treatment options for BPD in children and adolescents
- Discuss the potential comorbidities in patients with BPD
