Managing Bipolar Depression Across The Lifecycle

Are you attending the APA this year? If so, join fellow colleagues for this FREE cocktail reception and CME dinner symposium! 

This symposium will address the challenges of treating bipolar depression across the lifecycle. The use of evidence based therapies including innovative treatments will be discussed.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses engaged in the care of patients with Bipolar Depression.

 

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

• Discuss the prevalence of bipolar disorder in different psychiatric patients.
• Describe the different symptoms that occur in children, adolescents, and adults.
• Discuss the evidence base including FDA approval for different treatments for bipolar disorder.
• Provide details to ensure that physicians consider the potential metabolic profile of antipsychotics when choosing agents.
